Sustainability in Urban Design

Visit CityscapeThe Landscape Institute’s survey of members earlier this year reported that 73% of respondents have successfully influenced clients or employers to consider climate change issues and 78% felt that clients and employers recognise the need to adapt or respond to those issues.

But how to make it tangible?  What are the most important issues to get right?  And how best to sift the solutions and the products for the best results?

Streetscene, the centrepiece of next year’s Cityscape which takes place on 26 – 28 February at London’s Earls Court, brings sustainability in urban design to life, and underlines the importance of quality public space in supporting successful and sustainable places.

Designed by landscape architects, Whitelaw Turkington and constructed by Skanska McNicholas, Streetscene will be the largest indoor representation of the public realm in the UK;  a stimulating display that underlines the importance of quality public space in supporting successful and sustainable places.
