Timber Used
All timber used in the ESF Simplicity Collection is Iroko Hardwood (also known as African Teak). Sourced from West Africa it is very durable and has inherent ability to withstand chemicals and insects. The grain is moderately interlocked with a moderately coarse and even texture and is extremely resistant to preservative treatments. All ESF timber is supplied from sustainably managed and environmentally responsible sources.
Metal Options
Cast Iron Benches - Ideal for street furniture offering high tensile strength, durability and long-term corrosion resistance. Fully recyclable, it can be recycled ad-infinitum making it the most environmentally responsible choice. Cast using the cleanest technologies available, meeting ISO 14001.
Stainless Steel Benches - Stainless steel is clean, modern and elegant. Stainless steel provides a high level of corrosion and vandal resistance and has minimal maintenance costs. It provides the best option for low maintenance high impact designs.
Mild Steel Benches - Versatile and cost effective. Can be manufactured to meet performance or aesthetic requirements. Given superb corrosion protection by galvanising and the ability to finish with paint or powder coating means that practically any item can offer a very long life.
