Global Warming

Environmental Street Furniture is committed to reducing Carbon Emissions and slowing global warming. Global warming is the name given by scientists for the gradual increase in temperature of the Earth's surface that has worsened since the industrial revolution. We have altered the chemical composition of the atmosphere through a build-up of greenhouse gases – primarily carbon dioxide, methane, and nitrous-oxide.    
 
Q. What if we do nothing? Rising global temperatures will cause sea level to rise and alter local climate conditions, affecting forests, crop yields, and water supplies. It may also affect human health, animals, and many types of ecosystems. Deserts may expand and some of our countryside may be permanently altered.

At Environmental Street Furniture we are seeking to reduce, and remove our carbon emissions, by sourcing our range of street furniture products locally where possible. This eliminates the necessity of long truck journeys and even flights, and allows us to support local enterprise and communities at the same time.

Carbon Management

Carbon Management provides a systematic approach to managing the risks and realising the opportunities that climate change presents. It looks at both the revenue and cost sides of business and involves areas outside the scope of a normal energy or operational efficiency review. By emcompassing this wihin our EQO we seek to offer the best possible solution to you the customer, and the environment.

A Carbon Footprint is a measure of the impact human activities has on the environment in terms of the amount of green house gases produced, measured in units of carbon dioxide. By using products supplied by Environmental Street Furniture you are helping to reduce your carbon footprint.
