ESF helps with Rhyd-Y-Car River Taff regeneration scheme

Enviromental street furniture (ESF) worked closely with Merthyr County Borough Council regeneration department, on delivering and installing a new regeneration package to the Rhyd- Y – Car River Taff trail in Merthyr. ESF supplied the materials through the partners at Burdens, the leading supplier of utility, civil engineering, specialist construction and environmental products and services.

Materials we supplied through the Burdens depot at Hirwaun who are employers of local people, many of whom live in the Merthyr area and will get use of the developed area.

Regeneration project benefits from regenerated raw materials

In the supply and design of the project, the materials used will offer longevity whilst giving an excellent aesthetic appeal for years to come. The materials used in the manufacture have no great impact on the Environment as 95% of the components can be recycled.

LED handrail leads the way in innovative street furniture design

New technologies have also been used with the bespoke LED handrail system. The lighting is designed to run on low voltage system, which makes it safe in the event of an accident. LED lighting is sensitive to the environment friendly as there are no gases used in the manufacture; they also offer a life span of around 40,000 hrs.
